Your journey with us
A Clear Path From Joint Stiffness to Confident Movement
Here is exactly what to expect from your first session to your long-term movement plan
Interactive Joint Health Education (2 Workshops)
Understanding osteoarthritis is essential to conquering it. We explain joint cartilage physiology, what "safe pain" feels like during exercise, how to manage flare-ups, and how to apply sensible load management to your hobbies and daily life.
Comprehensive 1:1 Clinical Assessment (60 Mins)
We take the time to listen to your story, pain triggers, and everyday goals. We review any scans and perform objective functional testing (joint mobility, balance, movement alignment, and baseline strength) to safely customize the program to your exact level.
Supervised Neuromuscular Training (6 Weeks 2x/Week)
Train in small, supportive group sessions led by certified clinicians. These 45–60 minute sessions focus on neuromuscular control—re-educating the body to keep the hip, knee, and foot in proper alignment during loading, building joint stability that lasts.
3-Month Review & Ongoing Movement
We re-measure your strength, balance, and functional metrics against your baseline so you can celebrate real progress. From there, we design your ongoing plan—whether continuing in our studio, maintaining a home routine, or returning to sports, hiking, and travel.
Who we support
Is the GLA:D® Program Right for You?
You do not need severe degeneration or an impending surgery date to benefit. The program is ideal for:
Mild, Moderate, or Severe Osteoarthritis: Anyone experiencing persistent hip or knee stiffness, swelling, or pain.
Activity-Related Discomfort: Trouble walking comfortably, getting up from low seats, gardening, or taking the stairs.
Exploring Non-Surgical Options: Individuals looking to take proactive control and delay or avoid joint replacement surgery.
Surgical Pre-Hab & Post-Op Recovery: Those preparing for joint surgery by optimizing strength ("better in, better out"), or rehabilitating long-term function after surgery.
Note: If your joint symptoms stem from other issues (such as inflammatory rheumatoid conditions or fractures), our clinicians will screen for this during your initial assessment to guide you to the appropriate care pathway.

FAQs
Common Questions About the GLA:D® Program
What if I haven't exercised in years or my joints hurt too much right now?
1
That is precisely why the program exists. Every single exercise is scaled and adapted to your current capabilities and pain threshold. We guide you carefully through neuromuscular control exercises so movement feels safe, supported, and manageable from day one.
Do I need recent X-rays or MRI scans before booking?
2
No. Hip and knee osteoarthritis is diagnosed primarily through clinical history and physical symptoms rather than imaging alone. If you have scans, please bring them along, but you do not need new imaging to get started.
How is GLA:D® different from standard gym exercises or clinical Pilates?
3
GLA:D® is an internationally standardized, research-validated clinical program specifically targeting the neuromuscular control of arthritic joints. Unlike general fitness classes, it emphasizes functional joint alignment, muscle activation, and progressive load under certified clinical supervision.
What should I wear and bring to my appointments?
4
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely (such as activewear, shorts, or track pants) and supportive, closed-toe walking or athletic shoes. Bring a water bottle and any medical referrals or scans you may have.
