Frequently Asked Questions

Can I claim my sessions on Private Health Insurance or Medicare?

1

Yes. Exercise Physiology services delivered by our accredited practitioners are eligible for Private Health Insurance rebates under most "Extras" policies (commonly Item Code 102 for initial consults and Item Code 202 for subsequent sessions). We provide on-site HICAPS processing or digital tax receipts for fast claims.

For Medicare, clients with an eligible GP Chronic Disease Management Plan (formerly EPC) can access Medicare rebates, leaving only a modest out-of-pocket gap fee. Please note that Classical Pilates sessions that fall outside accredited allied health care do not qualify for health fund or Medicare rebates.

What is included in the 75-minute Initial Assessment and 60-minute subsequent session?

2

Your initial consultation is a thorough one-on-one session with an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. We take the time to evaluate your clinical medical history, biomechanical patterns, movement goals, and any acute or chronic physical conditions (such as osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, or spinal rehabilitation).

In the subsequent session we contextualise your results to age-matched data and start co-design and share your exercise programme so that you’re ready for your first session. Plus, we will orient you to the gym equipment so you are comfortable in future sessions

Clinical progression, bone density improvements, and movement progress require progressive overload and consistency. By delivering our Exercise Physiology group training (including GLA:D and ONERO protocols) in 12-week terms, we ensure your program evolves systematically. Furthermore, the research that provides evidence for programmes such as these mandate the training frequency.

Every term fee also bundles dedicated 1:1 clinical sessions to assess your mechanics and adapt your individual plan—ensuring you receive individualised care even in a group environment.

Another perspective that we take seriously is our studio culture and equitable attention to each existing client. If we permitted drop-in sessions without similar induction processes, our long-term clients would receive less care. For these reasons, we utilise a term structure.
